Christian Elementary School – 1st-5th grade
The elementary years of private Christian education are an exciting time for families! Christian Cottage Prep is Biblical in structure and believes that God has created children with GREAT MINDS THAT DO NOT ALL THINK ALIKE. Isn't it great that all children learn differently and at different time intervals? God has designed His children to learn and grow strong in His word. We love to see the untapped potential in a child and then teach them engaging lessons taught by our knowledgeable staff, who are cohorts with parents.
Christian Cottage Prep tests each child entering our school for their personalized education. This test is not a pass-or-fail test. It is not uncommon for children to be at different levels in academic classes. If children need to catch up in academics, we partner with you to form a plan for achieving the goal. It is not uncommon for students to have a mix of small class instruction along with a regular private session to work on any void in education levels. Comparatively, many students arriving from the public system need higher phonetic awareness. Phonics is essential to become a fluid reader. We determine the level of necessary phonics through testing. If a young child is already phonetically fluent, there is no need to continue. Common sense is always a part of our planning process. Again, nothing kills the joy of learning quicker than a bored child in the classroom. Take a risk and learn something new today.

*Math includes operations, conversion measuring, time laps, finding unknowns, basic formulations, and mastering fractions, decimals, and percents in adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division. Math is sequential; if a student is behind, their foundation is strengthened at the same time as going forward, continued note-taking to enhance growth potential and strategy-solving methods.
